Contests & Prizes
The SolidWorks 2013 Beta Program includes contests where you can show off your SolidWorks skills and get points and valuable prizes for testing the software. Check out our special competitions and begin testing today!
SolidWorks 2013 Beta Competitions:
This year, Beta participants will be separated into 2 categories: End Users, and VARs & Partners. Beta participants will have a chance to win 4 SolidWorks 2012 Beta contests. You can participate in the Beta 1, Beta 2, and Beta 3 contests and automatically qualify for the Overall contest. One winner will be chosen from each of the 2 categories, and the winners of each Beta contest (SolidWorks Beta 1, SolidWorks Beta 2, and SolidWorks Beta 3) will be the End User and VAR or Partner who has earned the most points at the end of the competition. You can earn points by submitting Service Requests (SR) regarding bugs, problems, usability issues, or any aspect of SolidWorks 2013 Beta that you think we can improve. You will earn points for SRs you submit based on the clarity of your description, severity of the problem, and whether or not you included all applicable information (models, Rx data, screenshots, etc.). For each of the 2 categories, the top 5 points earners in each of the Beta 1, Beta 2, and Beta 3 competitions will win prizes. The top 5 participants in each category with the most combined points from B1, B2, and B3 will win prizes for the Overall SolidWorks Beta contest.

Star of the Week:
Each week during the SolidWorks 2013 Beta program, the Beta Executive Team will award a prize to the person who has discovered and submitted the most interesting, important, or severe bug during the previous week. These bugs should be readily reproducible and should relate to some new feature of SolidWorks 2013, SolidWorks Simulation 2013, or SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2013. Judging will be based on the impact of the bug on the overall use or performance of the product, as well as the effort of the user to test, reproduce, and report the bug.
