Before you Get Started |

Review system hardware and graphics card requirements. |
|
Review the SolidWorks installation guide, releases notes, and what's new. |
|
Be ready to activate your software using your serial #. The serial # is included with a email from SolidWorks. SNL users, check with your system administrator. |

Install the software from DVD or from web download.
Note: You must be logged into to the Customer Portal to see all downloads. |

Start Solidworks and access the Tutorials section from the Help pull-down menu. These tutorial are a great start point for getting to know SolidWorks.

Start Solidworks and access the SolidWorks Help document from the Help pull-down menu. Review the 1st couple of section to familiarize yourself with SolidWorks, document types, and the interface.
