Rainer Gawlick, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Rainer manages SolidWorks' global marketing efforts, including product management, technical marketing, partner marketing, channel marketing and marketing communications. Prior to SolidWorks, Rainer led the multiple teams at Lightship Telecom in Bedford , NH where he was Executive Vice President of Marketing, Customer Relations, and Regulatory Affairs. Rainer joined Lightship from AspenTech, a supplier of engineering, manufacturing and supply chain software to the process industry. At AspenTech Rainer was Vice President of Marketing.  Prior to AspenTech, Rainer was with McKinsey & Company where he advised clients in the electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology and software sectors on a broad range of strategic and organizational issues.

Rainer holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from The University of California at Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T.
