Images must be at least 300 DPI and approximately 2000 X 3000 pixels. The preferred formats are TIFF, BMP, EPS or JPEG. If entering the images portion of the contest, you may submit up to three rendered images or screenshots showing various orientations of your design project. • For SolidWorks Animator entries, AVI files should not exceed 5MB (compressed) in size. Quality, high-resolution photographs of entrants and finished products or prototypes are also welcome. • Models, images, and text sent without completing the entry form will not be eligible. Text portions of form must be in complete sentences and contain enough information to provide the basis for a clear, understandable 150-250 word summary of use of SolidWorks. If entry text is published, it will be edited for length, clarity, grammar, and punctuation. JUDGING: Entries will be judged by a panel consisting of product management, engineering, and marketing employees of SolidWorks Corporation, contest Prize Sponsors, and selected VARs. Winning entries will be chosen on the basis of technical skill (complexity, interaction of parts), aesthetic merit (visual clarity, form), level of innovation, and broad use of SolidWorks products and services. WINNERS: • One (1) Grand Prize winner will be chosen in the Models category and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be chosen for each of the three (3) categories: Models, Photorealistic Images, Animations. • Descriptions of prizes are available on the contest Sponsors & Prizes webpage. Prizes cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash except at the sponsors’ sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Winner is responsible for all taxes, fees, and duties with respect to prizes, if applicable. Winner reserves the right to refuse any prize. • Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible registrations. • Winners will be determined within two months after the end of the contest. Winners will be announced at SolidWorks World 2008 and contacted within two weeks thereafter. Results will also be announced in the Q1 2008 issue of the SolidWorks Express Newsletter and on the contest website.
