Company Description:
Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation, a market leader in software for mechanical design, analysis, and product data management is seeking a Product Manger at our Waltham, Massachusetts facility.
Job Description:
Applicant will lead positioning and specifying of software products. Understand the engineer’s needs for design, competitive landscape, and think strategically to create distinctive competencies. Create short term and long term strategic plan for SolidWorks. Research the market. Market data gathering through analyst reports, trade press, and surveys. Create initiatives and drive the rest of the organization to exceed business plan of SolidWorks. Work with multiple stake holders to successfully deliver product to the market. Travel expected to be 10-25%.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or related field plus five years of expereince in the position offered or five years of expereince as a Software Quality Assurance Manager, Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Demonstrated experience or knowledge of existing computer-aided design tools, competitive products and markets; technical sales or product management; mechanical design industry needs; CAD/PDM/PLM markets, including low and high end CAD products; CAM; MCAD user needs; industry applications such as rapid prototyping, machining, sheet metal, FEA, parts libraries; enabling technologies, such as the Internet, office applications required.
Education:
A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or related field plus two years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the Bachelor’s plus five requirement.
