LOCATION: Concord, MA
DESCRIPTION: We are seeking highly skilled software engineers who will be developing new products for SolidWorks Labs. As these new products will span a wide range of technologies and problem spaces, candidates must be flexible, creative and interested in quickly learning and applying a broad range of new technologies to solve 2D and 3D mechanical design problems. Experience in some combination of 2D and 3D CAD, Product Data Management (PDM), 2D and 3D graphics, .NET, Database, User Interface, SaaS and Web technologies would be beneficial. An excellent candidate must show initiative, independence and have demonstrated examples of learning and applying new software technologies to solve complex problems quickly. A strong work ethic showing innovative thinking, intuitive understanding of ease-of-use, problem solving and a team player attitude is essential. Above all, the ideal candidate should be eager to learn, and immediately improve and extend new technologies and techniques, even outside of the area of their immediate expertise.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of software development coupled with in depth practical experience in developing CAD, PDM or Web software in a software company.
EDUCATION: BS degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering is required. MS in a related field is a definite plus.
REQUIREMENTS: • Significant commercial experience with creating and implementing a broad range of software algorithms. • Excellent programming and design skills. • Ability to write efficient software code in the development of new products. • Thorough understanding and experience in the development and release of commercial software products. • Ability to function in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, demonstrate superior organizational/time management skills and exhibit a make-it-happen attitude.
