DESCRIPTION: The Major Accounts Manager - India is responsible for developing and establishing major account relationships with strategic customers & prospects of SolidWorks in India. The Major Accounts Manager - India in coordination with SolidWorks resellers (VAR’s) holds primary responsibility for supporting major accounts and their suppliers. Reporting to the Asia/Pacific Director it is the Sales Manager’s responsibility to insure that customers/prospects receive the benefits of a SolidWorks solution to their multi-seat networked CAD needs. Working with VARs, Solution Partners, and OEM’s, the Sales Manager is responsible for insuring the integration of the SolidWorks solution and addressing the customer’s design automation requirements over multiple locations. • Initiate marketing and sales activities at major accounts to stimulate, encourage, establish and develop major account relationships for SolidWorks. • Provide territory management data: forecasts, account management documentation, and activity reports to SolidWorks management providing basis for strategic account planning. • Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the account and develop, present and demonstrate SolidWorks capabilities to the customer. • Introduce and integrate SolidWorks technical resources, VAR personnel and Solution Partners to the customer to demonstrate capability, educate customer personnel and facilitate project management. • Communicate effectively with VAR’s in implementing SolidWorks major account sales strategies appropriately integrating VAR resources in the sales process and implementation plan. • Develop, deliver and lead implementation of professional technology proposals supporting multiple sites. • Analyze potential problems and address customer issues. • Provide and coordinate post-sales support working with VAR account managers.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years’ MCAD industry experience and/or 7+ years Technical Sales experience.
EDUCATION: Degree Holders Only - BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering a plus.
REQUIREMENTS: Consistent track record of successful sales shown by over goal performance with 7+ years’ sales experience selling technology products in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of the MCAD industry is very highly desired with CAD and/or solid modeling experience or actual design work experience. Experience in SolidWorks a plus. In addition, the candidate will also possess the ability to function in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, and have superior organizational/time management skills and a make-it-happen attitude.
