DESCRIPTION: The Regional Manager of Academic Markets will combine sales skills, marketing expertise, and technical proficiency to successfully promote the SolidWorks Education Program in their assigned geographical
• Meeting defined License/Revenue goals
• Increasing installed base of SolidWorks software
• Actively manage, support and grow indirect channel partners
• Defining and executing plans to penetrate new markets/opportunities at all Academic levels
• Increasing awareness of the SolidWorks Education program
• Coordinating and participating in academic events, seminars, conferences, workshops, etc
• Providing product demonstrations, basic technical support, and updating information for educational end-users
• Fostering long-term collaboration with leading engineering schools
• Developing marketing opportunities for the Corporation within the academic community.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of software solutions sales experience, or educational sales experience. Current experience in the Mechanical Design Automation industry is a big plus.
EDUCATION: BS/BA in a technical/business discipline.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to function both independently and in cooperation with authorized sales channel and with other software solution partners in order to close business
• Possess superior time-management and organizational skills
• Display outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%
