Job Title: Internet Hosting Administrator
Location: Concord, MA
Job Description
The Internet Hosting Administrator will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, as with any support role, the potential for working after hours or holiday coverage is a regular occurrence, and will also be a requirement, whenever necessary. In addition, the Internet Hosting Administrator will participate in the on-call rotation for support of the Internet Sites for which they are responsible, and also serve as the 2nd level on-call person for other IT members of the rotation. Other responsibilities include:
- Be a dedicated IT resource for hosted Internet services.
- Ensure compliance with 24x7 SLA for Internet sites.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Transfer knowledge to other members of the on-call rotation.
- Work with development team during service updates and new version releases.
- Recommend, configure, and deploy new servers and network equipment as needed.
- Maintain networking and server infrastructure for multiple development, testing, and live environments.
- Troubleshoot service failures and maintain knowledgebase for future issues.
- Monitor Internet services, network equipment, and proactively maintain equipment.
Experience/Requirements
- BS from a 4-year accredited college
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- MCSA or MCSE with an emphasis on IIS and SQL Server
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to work in a group and provide technical expertise to the group.
- Must be able to document new or existing processes to improve
- Ability to solve non-routine or complex issues with respect to hardware, software, network, IIS, and SQL Server
- Experience backing up and restoring IIS and SQL Ser
