SolidWorks Scores Seventh Consecutive Appearance In Boston Business Journal ‘Best Places to Work’ Ranking
One Of Only Four Companies To Place Among Top Employers In Each Year Of The Publication’s Survey
BOSTON, June 23, 2009 — Dassault Systèmes (DS) SolidWorks Corporation became one of only four companies named to every Boston Business Journal “Best Places To Work” ranking when it won a spot on the recently announced 2009 list – its seventh appearance.
DS SolidWorks was ranked in the medium category of companies with between 101 and 500 employees. The company was named to the list during the ranking’s inaugural year in 2003, and along with Winchester Hospital, law firm Bingham McCutchen, and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, has appeared ever year since.
“Repetition is supposed to get boring, but winning a spot on this list year after year never does,” said Dick Morgan, SolidWorks vice president of human resources. “The best part is that it’s our employees who keep getting us in there. It’s good to know we’re succeeded at creating an environment they enjoy and encourages them to excel at what they do.”
The “Best Places to Work” ranking is based on surveys completed by a substantial number of employees at each nominated company. The surveys ask questions related to work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, compensation, and benefits.
