Student Access Initiative
The Student Access Initiative provides SolidWorks Educational customers with the ability to allow students to access SolidWorks software outside the classroom or laboratory. Using innovative licensing methods, Student Access gets SolidWorks software directly into the hands of students. The Student Access Initiative is designed for students and educators that currently use the SolidWorks Education Edition at their school. Certain restrictions apply. Only schools can request eligibility.
SolidWorks Student Access offers a range of solutions to SolidWorks Education Edition customers. Click on the product matrix below to help you determine the right solution for you. Subscription service required for Student Engineering Kit (SEK) and Student Design Kit (SDK); Network License Borrowing available to both subscription and non-subscription service customers. Product features are as outlined below.

To qualify for SolidWorks Student Access, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a SolidWorks Education Edition customer
- Have active Subscription Service
- Teach academic programs that require students to use SolidWorks software in campus housing or home e-learning settings
