SolidWorks Student Edition COSMOS Licensing

COSMOS Licensing for Student Edition Users with the Microsoft Vista™ operating system.

NOTE: The following steps apply only to Microsoft Vista™ users who have purchased the SolidWorks Student Edition 2007 with COSMOS Design Validation tools.

Also note:

• This does not affect Windows® XP Professional users
• This does not affect Microsoft Vista users that purchased the Student Edition version without COSMOS
• Older versions of the SolidWorks Student Edition are not compatible with the Microsoft Vista operating system.

COSMOS licensing steps on Microsoft Vista (SolidWorks Student Edition 2007):

Before proceeding you must:

• Have "administrative" rights on your computer
• The SolidWorks portion of your product must be registered and the resulting authorization code must be inserted into the SolidWorks registration field
• Your SolidWorks application must be closed

Steps:

1. Enter your email address below where you can be sent COSMOS licensing information.

2. Open the email, unzip (uncompress) the attachment, then follow the directions included inside the resulting folder.

Please start SolidWorks.

Go to Tools > Add ins to select the COSMOS Design Validation products you wish to run.

Your SolidWorks Student Edition COSMOS tools will now be available for use.
