Paul Adams | Vice President, Worldwide Technical Sales

Paul Adams joined SolidWorks in 1996 as one of the first 100 employees to help recruit, build, and train the channel, and grow the technical team. With 20 years of experience in the 3D mechanical design software space, Paul has played a key role in developing the best practices that helped SolidWorks grow into a leading 3D CAD solution provider. In his current position, Paul leads a passionate team of technical sales employees and reseller application engineers charged with bringing SolidWorks technology to the marketplace and getting customers into production.

Prior to joining SolidWorks, Paul served as a mechanical engineer, most recently in the mechanical software division of Intergraph Corp., providing comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical support for its large customers. He also spent seven years at Textron Lycoming, participating in joint development programs with General Electric aircraft engines and with Rolls Royce aircraft engines designing new jet engines with lower noise emission and fuel consumption. Paul is a degreed mechanical engineer from the University of Massachusetts.
