Howe and Howe Technologies, Inc.
Howe and Howe Technologies, Inc., the subject of a TV show on The Discovery Channel called “Howe & Howe Tech,” formed in 2001 after developing the world’s fastest robotic tank, the Ripsaw. The company has since won a string of contracts from the US Defense Department and private companies to develop extreme vehicles. The firm soon needed to upgrade its AutoCAD® 2D design tools to a 3D development platform.

Wamore
Wamore, Inc. manufactures airdrop systems for securely delivering payloads of up to 42,000-pounds from cargo aircraft to the ground via ram-air parachute. The U.S. military uses the company’s Air Guidance Units, parachute release systems, inertia reels, and soft landing airbags in active combat theaters. While Wamore has benefited from using SolidWorks® design, simulation, and product data management (PDM) solutions for several years, providing assembly instructions for its autonomous, robotic-controlled airdrop systems and other product lines presented a range of problems.

Naval Surface Warfare Center
Because we are a research facility, rapid prototyping and concurrent engineering are musts. SolidWorks software allows both of these coupled with extreme ease-of-use for the user. 

U.S. Army Research Laboratory
The U.S. Army Research Laboratory Ballistics and Weapons Concepts Division was looking for an affordable, easy-to-use 3D CAD program. This software needed to be highly versatile and powerful but easy to use. It was also necessary that users be compatible with other packages like ANSYS, CircuitWorks, and other types of analytical add-on software. 

Jet Propulsion Laboratories
Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL) is a state-of-the-art company that designs earth observation and inter-planetary space systems for projects ranging from earth mapping and ozone layer tracking to missions to Mars to map the surface and study the Martian environment and minerals. JPL needed a mid-range CAD tool that would be easy to use by both experienced engineers and casual users: one that did not need years of experience and training to use, yet could handle reasonably large assemblies and all required documentation.
