The Match School

The MATCH School is an open-admission charter public high school in Boston that opened in 2000 and currently serves 200 students in grades 9 through 12. Its mission is to prepare all students to succeed in college and beyond–especially those students with no family history of college attendance. Through its combination of intensive tutoring, longer school days, and high standards, the school now ranks #1 on the statewide proficiency exam (MCAS) in math. In addition, 99 percent of the school’s graduates have gone on to four-year colleges that include Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, and Notre Dame.
SolidWorks supports the school by sponsoring MATCH Corps members–the MATCH School’s in-house tutoring program, in which more than 45 graduates of top colleges across the country are hired to serve as full-time tutors for one year. This tutoring is built into the school day and helps MATCH students become college-ready by the time they graduate.

John McEleney of SolidWorks also has established an endowment to provide college scholarships to MATCH graduates.
SolidWorks has supported the MATCH School for over four years.
