Defeature Overview
SolidWorks Defeature technology enables you to hide selected design aspects before models are shared, helping to protect your intellectual property. Defeature also helps reduce file size to improve performance with large models. Defeature functionality includes the ability to:
- Selectively remove internal detail in a design
- Globally remove small features below a user-defined value
- Preserve necessary functional holes and features
- Maintain relative motion between parts (but remove all internal details)
- Preview between original design and defeatured version, in process head-to-head
- Save your assembly as a single part
