Export DXF and DWG to Manufacturing Overview
SolidWorks makes it easy to send design data directly to manufacturing with automatic export of CNC-ready 2D DXF™ and 2D DWG™ file information directly from SolidWorks 3D models, so you can output data without needing to create a 2D drawing. Key functionality includes the ability to:
- Output any view or planar face of a part as 2D DXF or 2D DWG
- Drive water jet, plasma, CNC machining centers, and other tools
- Generate 2D DXF or 2D DWG from sheet metal flat patterns
- Control export options for different DXF/DWG version, font types, line styles, and so forth
