BobCAD-CAM: BobCAD-CAM Version 23 Software

BobCAD-CAM Version 23 is a 2D & 3D CAD-CAM system geared at adding simple and easy to use CNC programming automation. V23 provides file compatability that includes DWG, IGES, DXF, Step, Sldprt and Parasolids file formats. CAD design functionality offers complete wireframe construction features as well as solid modeling functionality for designing models and editing them easily.

Version 23 provides both 2D & 3D toolpath creation. Basic toolpath options allow you to go directly from a wireframe part to toolpath for machining, which includes both roughing and finishing or special toolpath methods, that allow you to machine the surface or model directly. 2D machining capabilities include hole drilling, profile milling and two styles of pocketing toolpath operations. Profiling operations offer special lead-in and out options and more. Tapered wall pocketing is offered that includes variable taper options, making complex tapered wall pocketing possible. Planar, constant spiral and radial toolpath methods are provided for solid models. These toolpath operations also allow boundary containment for the tool as well as other features such as depth control and more.

Version 23 offers a complete CAM system with customizable tool and macro menus and the capability to modify drilling operations easily. Scripting functionality gives further flexibility for the advanced user. Simulation is provided to verify the g-code and toolpath produced. Complete RS 232 and DNC capabilities are included, as well as the ability to customize or build your own post from scratch. Full user manuals are included and training videos are available for the system.
