Product Details:
The Lenovo ThinkStation is engineered exclusively for specialized professionals. Its ground breaking design ramps up parallelworkflows, enabling professional users to innovate faster and reduces the time between an idea and a product.
Equipped with the latest technology from Intel, the ThinkStation delivers performance well beyond a standard desktop PC. The ThinkStation S10's Intel Core 2 AND ThinkStation D10s dual Intel Xeon processors speed through even the toughest workload.
These processors nearly double the density of transistors on the chips to offer new levels of energy-efficient performance. In addition, the ThinkStation is equipped with ThinkVantage technologies such as Rescue and Recovery and Client Security Solutionto provide the best of data security.
The S10 has been rated the fastest rendering machine in it's class by Desktop Engineering in the September, 2008 issue. It also posted the fastest SPEC viewperf scores recorded to date on most datasets. Supported with NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics cards, the ThinkStation S10 offers 650 Watts of power and can accomodate two video cards.
The D10 offers 1000 Watts of power and can accomodate two video cards as well. Customers trying to load large images on to a system are going to be pleasantly surprised by the ability of the D10 to answer their highest capacity demands easily.
As technology becomes more complex, the challenges of creating CAD models, and verifying the design with a quick analysis at the desk, is increasingly becoming important. Consequently, it is important to note that customers who want absolute power can deploy the D10 for very demanding and high-end computation and graphics needs, and use the S10 when the needs are for the medium-to-large models and assemblies.
Both machines sport a handle for easy lifting, and offer backlit display, recessed 'on' button that adds to the overall value of the machine.
