RobotWorks is a CNC-style program for off-line programming of industrial robots. It is an add-in to SolidWorks, acting upon CAD objects (faces, edges etc.) within an assembly. RobotWorks enables:

• Creating parts, tools, fixtures, work-cell parts and a robot path inside one interactive environment.
• Automatic path generation along CAD features (faces, curves, and more)
• Simulating robot and tool motion, collision detection, external axes, robot joint limits and more. 
• Handles offsets, user frames and motion in several coordinate systems like World, Joint, Tool, User etc.
• Imports points form CNC programs and other formats and makes them robot programs.
• Translates and writes robot programs in most industrial robots formats

Among its many features, RobotWorks can generate without an effort a path for "Carry Part," in which the part is manipulated against a fixed tool. It can also handle External Axes such as Positioners and Linear Axes and produce automatic path and solutions for complex manufacturing situations, all from inside SolidWorks!
