About iDEA Software:
iDEA Software develops and sells design software to the kite-surfing, paragliding, and parachute industries. iDEA Software has two main programs, SurfPlan™ and GliderPlan™, which are used for designing surf-kites and paraglider/parachutes, respectively.
Product Details:
Both SurfPlan and the partner product GliderPlan are well-known in their respective fields as state-of-the-art, industry standard design tools. These programs are used worldwide, from full-time professional designers working for the biggest brand names to independent part-time designers working for the smaller brands.
SurfPlan interfaces to all common CAD applications through DXF file interface, and also incorporates direct interfacing to SolidWorks® through the SolidWorks API.
First sold in 2003, SurfPlan and GliderPlan are under ongoing development to meet the changing needs of the industry, allowing new styles of wing design, as well as constantly improving workflow features.
