Product Details:
Engineering Design with SolidWorks & MultiMedia CD is targeted toward a four-year college or university instructor/student or industry professional who is a beginner or intermediate user of SolidWorks and is looking for a step-by-step project-based approach with an enclosed MultiMedia CD.
Engineering Design with SolidWorks covers the SolidWorks User Interface and CommandManager, Document and System properties, Task Pane, Design Library and more, simple and advance machine parts, SimulationXpress/COSMOSXpress analysis, multi-sheet, multi-view drawings, bill of materials, revision tables, simple and complex assemblies, design tables, Configurations, plastic parts, and Sheetmetal parts using basic and advance SolidWorks features.
Highlights:
The part section covers all the major solid features: Extruded Boss/Base, Extruded Cut, Hole Wizard, Revolved Boss/Base, Revolved Cut, Lofted Boss/Base, Fillet, Chamfer, Patterns, and more in SolidWorks. There are three assemblies. The first assembly, GUIDE-ROD, utilizes industry components and simple extruded parts. Individual part drawings and assembly drawings with BOMs are developed for the GUIDE-ROD assembly.
The FLASHLIGHT assembly utilizes eight parts made up of Extruded, Revolved, Swept, and Loft features. The parts are combined into small sub-assemblies and the final FLASHLIGHT assembly.
The BOX assembly utilizes a top-down assembly modeling approach with layout sketches and parts developed in context. The BOX works through sheet-metal features and introduces design tables and configurations.
The MultiMedia CD includes 2.5 hours of movie files and a half-hour on individual feature tips and creation.
