CAT5Works - Bi-directional CATIA V4/V5 - SolidWorks® direct translator with an integrated CATIA V4 data viewer.

CAT5Works is an advanced direct data translation product, which is easy to use and completely integrated within the SolidWorks environment. CAT5Works allows users to work directly with CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 data using one-button translation, providing data directly usable in the SolidWorks modeling session, without any pre-or post-processing. CAT5Works works with the latest release of SolidWorks and can read and write CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 files.

CAT5Works' data import module reads native CATIA V5 Release 6 to 16 part (*.CATPart) and assembly (*.CATProduct) or CATIA V4 (*.model, *.exp, *.session) files to SolidWorks. CAT5Works' data export module exports SolidWorks part (*.sldprt) and assembly (*.sldasm) files to CATIA V5 Release 10 part (*.CATPart) or assembly (*.CATProduct) or CATIA V4 (.model or .exp) files.

CAT5Works includes a free CATIA V4 viewer which enables the SolidWorks user to view and select entities from a CATIA V4 model or an assembly before translation. Solids, surfaces, and assemblies are translated automatically at the touch of a button.

CAT5Works supports batch translation for convenient handling of bulk data.
