PASCAM GmbH: PASCAM Bea
About PASCAM GmbH:
PASCAM GmbH is developing software solutions to improve design, modeling, and manufacturing processes in the woodworking sector. PASCAM wants to provide a consistent, world-class 3D modeling platform for the woodworking industry, based on SOLIDWORKS. PASCAM was awarded SOLIDWORKS Solution Partner Status in 2004 for the CAD engineering product PASCAM WoodWorks. PASCAM is proving its outstanding CAD and CAM productivity solutions and pioneering innovations for a wide variety of customers - regardless of the size of the company, the materials processed, or products manufactured. PASCAM is dealing with exclusive cabinet makers and joiners, as well as mass manufacturers of cabinet furniture, whose products are based on face frame or frame construction (doors and windows) and others that rely extensively on frameless sheet material, like bathroom and kitchen manufacturers, shopfitters, and yacht builders.
PASCAM Bea 2015 - the feature-based 3D CAM system for CNC woodworking machines
PASCAM Bea is a feature-based 3D CAM system for SOLIDWORKS, which has been specially developed to program CNC machining strategies directly at the woodworking product model inside the SOLIDWORKS user interface. PASCAM Bea is exporting machine specific NC code to control any modern woodworking CNC machine with efficient postprocessors at the push of a button.
PASCAM Bea enables the user to add all kind of typical woodworking CNC machining features to the product model, thus the CAM information and the CNC programming are perfectly integrated into the usual SOLIDWORKS design process, which provides for the highly efficient "Design for Manufacturing" approach in our integrated CAD/CAM software solutions. PASCAM Bea works completely associative to the SOLIDWORKS® model geometry which does not only pave the way to easily create and edit NC toolpaths and CNC strategies directly at the geometry of the product model, but is also providing the means for easy customization and reliable re-design of existing product models. The result is maximum versatility and flexibility in the design process, just immediately before the start of the CNC manufacturing. Enabling users to manufacture single pieces or small batches of products (lot size 1) in the shortest possible time and in the same economic way as in their small or high-volume series.
PASCAM Bea offers the most diverse woodworking CNC programming capabilities, which can be customized via comprehensive options for user settings to reflect the specific, operational requirements of your company. In conjunction with the CAD productivity tool PASCAM WoodWorks, the fully integrated 3D CAM system PASCAM Bea offers the basis for quick and sustained increase in efficiency, speed and safety in CNC programming your woodworking CNC machines.
Field-proven, customized toolpaths and CNC strategies can be saved as templates and test cases for the efficient re-use in editable user databases. The user has full control over all the manufacturing parameters, both via dimensional equations as well as material data equations or based on NC tool data equations. This is enabled by a CNC tool database which is providing comprehensive material tables. All common woodworking CNC strategies are available, using powerful postprocessors that support all current and common woodworking CNC machines and machining centers.
Of course PASCAM Bea also provides an animated toolpath simulation with customizable drill benches and tool aggregates in order to verify the accuracy of the generated CNC machining program prior to the actual manufacturing process.
The optional nested based machining solution 'GTR Nest Management powered by PASCAM Bea', generates nested based CNC machining data for woodworking CNC machining centers from within your familiar SOLIDWORKS CAD interface. It offers true-shape nesting and supports bridges, "onion skin" cutting, parts in parts and remnant nesting with small part threshold, nested in the center of the sheet. In addition to the usual milling and drilling CNC strategies, performed with drill and routing tools, cutting operations can also be carried out by sawing tools on all woodworking CNC machines which are supporting nested-based machining.
