Tax Incentives
Write Off Your Purchase
The US HIRE Act of 2010 extends the Section 179 deductions of 2008/2009 into 2010. Section 179 allows businesses to write-off up to $250,000 USD of qualified property which includes computer software purchased during the 2010 tax year - subject to a phase-out if a business has capital expenditures exceeding $800,000.
We have researched Section 179 and found this website explains it very well and shows an example of how it works: http://www.section179.org/.
Many governments worldwide have enacted incentives, as well. Check with your local government or your tax advisor for options.
