POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation is seeking an individual to manage a global training organization. The Training Manager is responsible for all phases of research, preparation, and presentation of customer facing technical product training courses and materials.
- Manage a team delivering distance-based learning and instructor-led product training in a classroom/lab environment using a combination of: Lectures, Webinars, Workshops, Demonstrations, & Hands-on sessions.
- Lead efforts to consistently utilize the latest learning technologies and delivery platforms used in industry.
- Contribute to strong customer relationships through highly responsive customer-focused team interactions and issue resolution.
- Support the planning, researching, writing, and production of training materials for SolidWorks products, including presentations and hands on exercises.
- Champion organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that the organization’s know-how, information and experience is shared inside and (as appropriate) outside the organization with VARs, partners, and stakeholders.
- Deliver training to VARs and internal staff.
- Work effectively with Technical Support, R&D, and the Certification Program group to provide innovative and sound instructional solutions.
- Occasional travel required (<20%) conducting training at VAR & internal locations.
- Ensure that training programs are developed that meet or exceed customers' needs by gathering feedback from customers, VARs, and internal staff.
- Collaborate and negotiate with 3rd party vendors.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
REQUIREMENTS:
Ideal candidates will have experience in training, technical writing, and instructional design in a professional environment.
- Strong people and project management skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of instructional design, course development, and adult learning.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 2D/3D CAD system
- Track record of providing training programs using eLearning platforms and virtual classrooms strongly preferred.
- Business and entrepreneurial acumen.
- Innovative - make use of the most cutting edge available technologies for training delivery including eLearning platforms.
- A strong understanding of how SolidWorks customers use the software.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including detail-oriented business writing and the ability to convey complex technical information accurately.
- At least four years in internal and external customer facing training with a very high-level of presentation & facilitation skill set.

- Proven ability to quickly learn all aspects of technical software product
- Open to new ideas; shares own knowledge; applies knowledge in daily work; builds partnerships for learning and knowledge sharing.
- Instructional aptitude and mixture of strong technical and interpersonal client facing skills
- Exceptional presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to get consensus and collaboration across many business units; ability to explain complex concepts in layman's language; Understands VARs/departments’ needs and concerns; responds promptly and effectively to VARs/departments’ needs
- Comfortable with regularly recurring, executive level interaction.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to perform as a team member on multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with high expectations for quality.
- Mastery of English language and familiarization with localization processes for deploying training material to non-English speaking audiences.
