The Challenge
4c design is a proactive force in new product development and engineering design in Scotland and beyond. Our engineering background blended with our creative product design talent enables us to provide innovative solutions to problems that push the boundaries of modern design. We wanted a 3D CAD system that provided ease-of-use, speed of modeling, and compatibility with manufacturers.
The Solution
We were previously using AutoCAD and Pro/Engineer, but wanted to switch from AutoCAD to a 3D system. We evaluated Pro/E as a 3D option, but it seemed "clunky" and expensive. In addition, we had used SolidWorks CAD software throughout university, so it seemed the obvious choice. We especially like the feature-base modeling of SolidWorks software. Also, the program is easy to use; it can be as simple or as complex as you wish to make it. They also provided excellent training and support manuals.
