The Challenge
Alfsen & Gunderson AS (AG) is a Norwegian-based engineering and trading company that has served the air, drying, and water-treatment technology industry since its founding in 1926. Products and systems developed by AG’s engineers account for the majority of AG’s revenues and are marketed worldwide. In 1996, the company needed to upgrade to a common 3D CAD system for the whole company.
The Solution
After a very careful evaluation of SolidWorks, Solid Edge, ProJunior, and Mechanical Desktop, the company chose SolidWorks because of its user-friendly interface, diverse functionality, and affordable price. As an integrated part of the design process, AG uses SolidWorks Simulation and SolidWorks Flow Simulation very as well as SolidWorks Routing for pipe design.
