The Challenge
BEA (Belgian Electronic Applications) is the world leader in the development of safety sensors for automatic door systems. With an R&D office in Belgium and product development operations in the United States and China, the company needed to acquire a new, efficient 3D CAD system because development and support on its previous CAD solution, Helix MicroCADAM, had ceased.
The Solution
The company chose SolidWorks software because of its ease of use, broad range of capabilities, and SolidWorks eDrawings design communications tool. With SolidWorks, BEA realized greater control of its plastic parts design and added photorealistic rendering and animation capabilities.
