- Cut design time by 50 percent
- Reduced number of prototyping cycles
- Improved design manufacturability
- Introduced first-of-its-kind product
Benjamin P. Gulak’s design for an electric scooter, which began as a high school science project, created an international sensation and led to the founding of BPG, Inc. The startup company’s mission is to commercialize the UNO motorcycle as well as other innovative vehicle concepts, such as the DTV Shredder crossover vehicle. BPG needed a full-time design and engineering team and a capable, cost-effective development environment to achieve its goals.
BPG selected SolidWorks Premium software because it is well suited for refining and optimizing concept vehicles, providing easy-to-use solutions for visualizing, analyzing, prototyping, and manufacturing designs. By choosing SolidWorks software, BPG cut design time on the DTV Shredder by 50 percent, reduced the number of prototyping cycles required, improved design manufacturability, and introduced a first-of-its-kind product.
