The Challenge
Berkshire manufactures production and prototype parts for domestic and international markets in the aircraft, aerospace, high tech, automotive, communications, medical, and numerous other industries. The company was looking for 3D design software that was easy to use but highly productive.
The Solution
Berkshire evaluated several products including Autodesk Inventor and Pro/ENGINEER, but chose SolidWorks for its ease of use and powerful visualization capabilities. Berkshire also liked the interference detection ability. Using SolidWorks, the company was able to produce three different parts, and the Configuration Management capability allowed it to create variations of the parts quickly and easily.
