The Challenge
Centurion Systems (Pty) Ltd. is a leading manufacturer in the gate automation and access control sector. The company manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of access automation equipment, which includes both sliding and swing gate operators, traffic barriers, intercom systems, and remote controls, to European, Canadian, and Asian/Pacific markets. We design all products in-house, and short design lead-times are critical to the profitability of our product lines and overall company growth.
The Solution
SolidWorks proved to be the most user-friendly product of those evaluated, especially with its superb Windows style, logic, and functionality. We also found it to have more capabilities than Mechnical Desktop, which we also evaluated. The parametric design capabilities of SolidWorks have proven invaluable, especially when we need to evaluate many design iterations.
