The Challenge
ElliptiGO Inc. was founded to create a low-impact alternative for distance runners. By combining cycling and elliptical training technology, cofounders Bryan Pate and Brent Teal hoped to create a low-impact, elliptical system that could be ridden outdoors like a bike instead of remaining stationary in a gym. To refine the concept for this new type of product, the company needed access to advanced 3D design and simulation technology.
The Solution
ElliptiGO chose SolidWorks® Premium software to develop the elliptical bike because it is easy to use, provides the integrated design simulation and visualization capabilities needed to refine the concept, and supports manufacturing requirements.
