The Challenge
Sabanci University is a private, independent university in Instanbul, Turkey, offering a variety of graduate and undergraduate academic degree programs, including mechatronics, a new approach in engineering design and production based on the integration of two of the classical engineering disciplines, namely mechanical and electrical engineering, along with computer science and especially software engineering. The university needed a robutst 3D CAD system to support its mechatronics program.
The Solution
The university selected SolidWorks to support students in its mechatronics program because of its modeling, simulation, and stress analysis capabilities. Students use the software to complete classwork, research, and commercial projects.
