Geberit Huter evolved in the late 70s from a thriving installation firm and specializes in the prefabrication of sanitary technology. Through intensive collaboration with clients, architects, designers and installers, a comprehensive product range was created, which fulfills customer needs and expectations in terms of quality, reliability, and safety in an unmatched manner. The market requires from Geberit Huter an object-related project engineering of its installation solutions in the field of sanitary technology, which is very difficult or not solvable with traditional methods. In addition the company faces a high deadline and cost pressure, which is not allowed to affect the quality of its special solutions.
The object-related lightweight elements, prefabricated bathrooms, and assembly components of Geberit Huter are developed with the SolidWorks 3D CAD system. In parallel to the CAD software implementation, Geberit Huter also deployed the free 2D CAD product DraftSight from Dassault Systèmes. This solution enables designers to create new DWG files as well view and edit existing DWG files. Furthermore DraftSight allows reading and recording DXF files. For an optimized organization and data management of its CAD data, Geberit Huter uses SolidWorks Enterprise PDM. With it, SolidWorks solutions cover the complete company process chain regarding CAD, CAM and PDM and support the development of a unique mode of operation, which can be implemented in practical and upcoming projects. The use of the free DraftSight solution had a vital share in doing further investments in SolidWorks products.
