- Created surface geometry in hours, not days
- Leveraged surfacing and parametric design in single package
- Facilitated collaboration and data handoffs
- Improved speed of design changes
Kablooē Design is a leading industrial design and product development firm, where creativity, inspiration, and innovation explode into exciting, successful products. Until recently, Kablooē used the Autodesk Alias® industrial design-surfacing package to support creative ideation and industrial design, and SOLIDWORKS® mechanical design software for detailed product design and mechanical engineering. However, the lack of integration between the two packages compelled Kablooē designers and engineers to undertake time-consuming rebuilds to convert surface models into solid models and to support design changes.
When Kablooē heard about a new integrated industrial design solution called SOLIDWORKS Industrial Designer software, the firm signed up for the SOLIDWORKS Industrial Designer Lighthouse Program, which provides the opportunity to use the software in production as part of pre-release testing. By implementing SOLIDWORKS Industrial Designer software, Kablooē created surface geometry in hours vs. days, leveraged surfacing and parametric design in a single package, facilitated collaboration and data handoffs, and improved the speed of design changes.
