The Challenge

WABTEC Passenger Transit designs and manufactures a vast array of pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical devices – such as braking systems, controllers, current collectors, and couplers – for the worldwide transit industry. The company wanted to move to 3D design to improve productivity, raise quality, and reduce costs, but its initial transition from MICROCADAM CAD design tools to the Pro/ENGINEER 3D CAD system led to a reassessment of available 3D solutions.

The Solution
