The Challenge
Redlands East Valley High School instructs students in the use of 3D CAD technologies for product design. Student licenses of SolidWorks CAD software enable students to use professional CAD software for school projects, such as the one-fifth scale, radio-controlled, Formula One car developmed by student Ben Aldern.
The Solution
No other packages provide as much capability per dollar. The SolidWorks CAD software with SolidWorks Simulation bundle has massive capabilities, is the industry standard, has an enormous user community, and is available at a much lower cost than other programs. SolidWorks CAD software has excellent in-context editing tools for assemblies, a vast array of features and surfacing capabilities, and can run well on a modest computer. SolidWorks Simulation enables design testing and validations that will save money by reducing the number of prototypes needed.
