The Challenge
PCT Engineered Systems, LLC designs and manufacturers the Broadbeam line of industrial electron beam processors, which are used for curing/drying inks/coatings, curing silicon release coatings, curing lamination adhesives, cross-linking plastic film, and surface sterilization. The company needed a 3D CAD system in order to respond to customer demand for shorter and shorter lead times by compressing development cycles for these large, complex machines.
The Solution
The company chose SolidWorks 3D CAD software because of its ease of use, large assembly tools, design configurations capabilities, and integrated SolidWorks product data management software.
