The Challenge
Gould Studios produces product designs and works of art, with a specialty in medical device design and an increasing focus on the emerging field of industrial archeology and museum documentation. In making the transition from a drafting board to 3D CAD, Gould Studios sought out input from clients and colleagues to fine a design platform that would support SLA output for rapid prototyping and photorealistic imaging to meet the needs of print media, manuals, and technical publications.
The Solution
Gould Studios chose SolidWorks becauseof the short learning curve, photorealistic rendering in Photo Works, and simplified file transfer into other imaging applications, including Adobe PhotoShop. SolidWorks meets the firm's needs in developing its own niche market in the museum field.
