Bialystok Technical University (Politechnika Bialostocka)
A Bialystok Technical University student used SolidWorks to design this Adrian RC Helicopter.
The Results
- Shortened student learning curve by 80 percent
- Exposed students to CAD with integrated design analysis
- Reduced the number of student errors by 50 percent
- Added photorealistic rendering tools
"SolidWorks is pretty easy to learn and provides a wide range of capabilities for designing a variety of projects."
- Lukasz Korenkiewicz, Student
The Challenge
Located in Bialystok, Poland, the Bialystok Technical University opened on December 1, 1949, as the first technical college in Bialystok. The school's first two departments, which have grown since its inception, were the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering departments. The College of Engineering was granted the status of a technical university in 1974. The university needed a 3D CAD system to support its Mechanical Engineering students.
The Solution
The university chose SolidWorks software as part of its Mechanical Engineering curriculum because of its ease of use, parametric modeling features, integrated SolidWorks Simulation design analysis capabilities, and PhotoWorks photorealistic rendering tools.
