The Challenge
Cervelo Cycles is the world’s largest manufacturer of time-trial racing bicycles and sponsors Team CSC, the world’s top professional cycling team. Cervelo bikes have won more Iron Man races than any other bicycle brand. As cycling technology transformed from aluminum, steel, and alloy frames to lighter, sophisticated carbon-fiber frames, the company needed to upgrade its CAD tools from 2D to 3D to add the surfacing capabilities required for carbon-fiber technology.
