The Challenge
Southern California Plastics wanted to be able to design plastic injection molds in a parametric environment. We needed a design software package that allowed us to supply our CAD/CAM department with the information to produce accurate tooling in a short period of time.
The Solution
SolidWorks CAD software allows us to design plastic injection molds with complex and intricate geometries. These molds require splitting the core and cavity and four-side action slides. SolidWorks CAD software ensures our final results by providing a 3D workspace that reveals what our final results will be before going to production. In addition, SolidWorks CAD software allows us to evaluate the mechanical functionality of our molds and their components. All of these benefits are added to the increased productivity of our press.
