Get Involved, Create an Account:
To join the SolidWorks Community, you need to create a user account. Just follow these steps:
1) Go to the Customer Portal log-in page.
2) Click the Create an Account link.
3) If you are a customer with a SolidWorks serial number, enter the serial, and click Next to continue.
4) If you are guest (you do not have a serial number) click I don't have a serial number at this time.
Note: You can always add a serial # to your account under the Register My Products section of the SolidWorks Customer Portal.
5) Complete the required information and when you are complete you will be placed into the SolidWorks Customer Portal.
After you have joined the community, you can visit the SolidWorks Customer Portal and the Community Forums.

The SolidWorks Customer Portal gives you 24/7 online access to a full range of information and resources.
Features:
- Find the latest versions of SolidWorks software and service pack updates.
- Access the Knowledge Base, containing a wide range of technical documents and resources.
- View your SRs (Service Requests).
- View your SPRs (Bugs).
- Make enhancement requests.
- Participate in our discussion forums.
- Review and register your software license and Subscription Service renewal information.
- Edit your profile.

Question: How do I log in to the Customer Portal? |
|
Answer: The Customer Portal requires an account based on your email address and serial number (for full access). If you do not use your serial number, access will be limited. For full access to all features within the Customer Portal, you must also have a valid subscription service contract and a valid serial number. To create an account, click the Create a New Account link on the login page. |

Question: Do I need an active subscription service contract to log in? |
|
Answer: No; however, you will need a current subscription service contract to access all features within the Customer Portal. SolidWorks Subscription Services give your organization access to valuable software updates and information provided by DS SolidWorks Corp., as well as technical resources supplied by a global network of highly-skilled SolidWorks-authorized value-added resellers (VARs). Question: What happens if I forget my password? |

Answer:If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page. If you have tried your password multiple times, please wait 20 minutes after you get your new temporary password before trying again. |

Question: Why aren't all features accessible? |
|
Answer: The reason some features may not be visible or selectable are:

Question: Why do I need to register my products? |
|
Answer: This will associate your product serial number to your account so you can get license codes, access to the Knowledge Base, downloads, and view your Service Requests and SPRs. For full access to all features, you must:

Question: What types of registrations will be rejected? | |
|
Answer: During the web registration, you will be notified if information is missing or appears to be inaccurate. Upon completion, you will be notified if the registration has succeeded and the code has been emailed, or to contact SolidWorks directly. The following registrations will not be processed:

Question: Everyone at my company uses the same email address. What should we do? |
|
Answer: Since a sign-in account is unique to each user, each user should have a unique email address. The SolidWorks registration code will be sent to the email address. |

Question: What if I type the wrong or need to change my email address? |
|
Answer: At present, a user cannot modify the email address. Please contact SolidWorks directly at CustomerCenter@solidworks.com |

Question: My Corporate Profile is incorrect. How do I fix this? |
|
Answer: If your Corporate Profile is incorrect, you must contact your reseller directly to change your company name or location. |
