Product Activation
Product activation is an anonymous, secure, and hassle-free process designed to deter unlicensed use of SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation software.
Overview
Product activation is used for commercial single-user (standalone) licensing for SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation products.
Product activation has proven to offer the SolidWorks community various advantages:
- A secure, and hassle-free process that authenticates licensed users
- A consistent licensing process that works for both SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation products
- Licensing that is consistent with from other leading software companies
- A deterrent to unauthorized use of SolidWorks products with a minimal effect on you, our loyal customer
Note:
- To register a product not under activation:
a) Log into the SolidWorks Customer Portal at http://www.solidworks.com/customerportal.
b) Register your product(s) under the Register My Products link in the My Information section.
- Activation customers still should register their products to have full access to all features within the Customer Portal
(with an active Subscription Service contract).
