Service Packs provide updates to a major version for known problems. . Hotfixes Hotfixes address business-critical issues that typically affect a small number of users and are distributed upon request. They are created only for the most recent SP of releases that are within their Hotfix End Date as defined in the Product Support Lifecycle below. They are only considered for the most recent SP of a release.
