ESPRIT from DP Technology

SolidWorks launches SolidWorks 3D Skills Program

Fully integrated with SolidWorks® software, ESPRIT CAM features advanced support for 2-22 axis turning, 2-5 axis wire-EDM, and 2-5 axis-milling machines. The Solid Simulation and Verification Tool for multifunction mill/turn machines and Swiss style lathes allows the user to preview dynamic solid simulations of G-code programs. This tool utilizes ESPRIT's machine set-up in which the number and configuration of each spindle, turret, and tool station are specified to ensure precise simulation of all fixed/moving and gang/slide tooling, turrets, and spindles. Users can simulate accurate dry runs of their most complex programs including mill/turn operations with "C" and "Y" axis milling.

ESPRIT's Project Manager automatically assigns each part feature to the most appropriate Work Plane and Work Coordinate. Automated machining cycles provide the ability to program 4- and 5-axis milling with any combination of rotary axes, tilting heads, and rotary tables. ESPRIT offers an Automatic EDM Feature Recognition Tool that automatically recognizes wire thread locations, start points, and cutting profiles. Regularly updated technology pages reflect the latest developments in control and machine design for ONA, Agie, Mitsubishi, and Charmilles. In addition, the SolidWorks add-in enables push button transfer of SolidWorks part models directly into ESPRIT.

ESPRIT's integration of VBA allows users to build macros that capture their specialized solutions. The online Add-in Store offers users a resource for downloading macros created by fellow users to the entire ESPRIT community and the ESPRIT Developer Network provides guidance to users and independent software developers for the creation and packaging of macros. The CustomerWeb, WebBoard, and SupportWeb are all part of ESPRIT's innovative community sites.
