GeometryWorks3D

SolidWorks launches SolidWorks 3D Skills Program

Fully integrated with SolidWorks® software, GeometryWorks3D (GW3D) provides freeform surfaces that are parametric and associative, allowing you to quickly and easily build complex surfaces.

Developed for the design and manufacture of products with complex shapes, GW3D is particularly well suited for use in the mold making, automotive, and aerospace industries. GeometryWorks3D removes surfacing limitations by providing tools that enable a design engineer to optimize the design process without ever leaving the SolidWorks environment. Geometry creation tools, surfacing capabilities, and a variety of utilities are included in the more than 500 functions geared toward your ease-of-use.

GW3D enhances design and configuration activities with its superior surface building and manipulation tools. Surface offsets, trim surfaces, curve projection, translations, and rotations are all accomplished quickly. GW3D efficiently and accurately creates a wide variety of different surface and curve types, all with a consistent, geometrically intuitive interface.

Lofted surfaces
Surface building and manipulation of classic loft surfaces are based upon conic sections and swept surfaces, as well as rule-driven surfaces. A variety of surface quality analysis tools are provided for analyzing surface-to-surface, edge, tangent, normal, and curvature continuity.
