Growth in the SolidWorks User Group Network (SWUGN) has led to to four US-based regional events planned for 2005. The SWUGN committee is working directly with local group leaders to hold a combined user group, two-day event

The Eastern region user groups will host the kick-off event at MassBay Community College in Wellesley Hills, MA in June, followed by the Southern region event in mid-July at the University of Texas in Austin. The Anaheim, CA area is the site of the Western region conference in September, and Racine, WI holds the last show in October. More than twenty SolidWorks Partner companies are expected to be at each event, and the two-day format offers a choice of more than twenty technical sessions. Estimated attendance for each region is 150 to 350 users.

Regional user group events include a pre-conference evening reception with exhibits of partner solutions. These regional events provide easy access to exhibitors and SolidWorks technical professionals, and the chance to network with SolidWorks users sometimes in your immediate geographic area. For technical presenters, the regional events offer an opportunity to pretest and refine SolidWorks World sessions, increasing the likelihood your presentation will be selected for a slot at SolidWorks World 2006 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Regional event keynote speakers will include SolidWorks CEO John McEleney, SolidWorks founder Jon Hirschtick, and SolidWorks Board Director Vic Leventhal. SolidWorks solution partner exhibits and product demos will also be available. SolidWorks value-added resellers and SolidWorks technical staff will be on hand for one-on-one meetings.

Day two includes the opportunity for technical user sessions, along with distribution of prizes for customer awards and prizes.

Visit the SolidWorks website to learn how you can join or establish a SolidWorks User Group in your area. If you are interested in attending one of the four regional events, please contact the representative below:
