#  Innovating Patient Care: Designing the Future of Dialysis with Unified MODSIM

Dialysis machines have saved millions of lives; however, they are large and cumbersome and restrict patient mobility. Moreover, the length and frequency of treatments greatly affect a patient's quality of life. In this session, we discuss the development of a novel bioartificial kidney dialysis implant that can overcome these problems. Using the power of unified MODeling and SIMulation (MODSIM) and accelerated by Artificial Intelligence, we will show how **3D**EXPERIENCE WORKS can optimize implant performance, improve patient safety, and speed the development of this novel medical device. Attendees will learn how SOLIDWORKS-embedded multiphysics simulation solutions can rapidly evaluate device structural reliability, fluid flow efficiency, and electromagnetic performance, all within a collaborative cloud environment. As a result, attendees will be empowered to design other novel medical products that dramatically improve patient experience and outcome.
